The senate meets every Wednesday at 4:00 pm during the academic year and once a month during the summer at 3:00 pm in the Henrietta Avent Faculty Senate Meeting Room (JCK 880), unless otherwise noted below.
Senate meetings are open to any member of the university community. Senate Liaisons are not required to attend weekly Senate meetings, yet are welcome, and are requested to conduct themselves as guests, not as participants. The semesterly meeting of the Full Senate is the appropriate venue for liaison interaction.
All guests are requested to allow the senators to conduct the business of the meeting following the set agenda without interruption or engagement unless called upon for input.
Agendas and minutes are posted on the Faculty Senate website and distributed via e-mail. We also request that hard copies be posted in every academic department. Copies of any documents referenced in these publications may be secured from the senate's administrative assistant. Faculty members may request to be added to the senate distribution list.
