The STUDY is closed for the semester. Please check back next semester for small group tutoring appointment courses and times.
Small Group Tutoring Appointments
The STUDY now offers small group tutoring appointments for CHEM 2341, MATH 1329, and PHYS 1315 and 1430! Staffed with The STUDY's highly qualified tutors, each small group session will have a student-to-tutor ratio of no more than 5 to 1. Since you register for small group sessions ahead of time, you know exactly what time you will be meeting with your tutor.
-
How long does each small group tutoring session last?
Each session will last up to 50 minutes long. Please plan to stay the entire time so as not to make a seat unavailable for others.
-
Where are small group sessions held?
Small group tutoring sessions are held in The STUDY on the 4th floor of Alkek. Upon signing up for a session, you will be informed of the exact room number.
-
What happens if I sign up for a session but am unable to make it?
If you are unable to attend a schedule your previously signed up for, please cancel your appointment via the Bookings website. If you are marked as a no-show for your appointment 3 times in a semester, you will no longer be able to sign up for group tutoring appointments. You are considered a no-show if you do not show up for your scheduled group tutoring appointment and/or if you cancel your appointment less than 2 hours before the session is scheduled to start.
-
How far in advance can I sign up for a small group session?
You can sign up for a small group tutoring session up to 30 days in advance.
-
How soon before a session starts can I sign up to attend?
In order for tutors to prepare for the small group session, you must sign up at least 2 hours before the session begins. For example, if you are wanting to attend a 12:00pm session for ACC 2361, you must sign up by 10:00am at the latest.
-
Can I bring a friend with me to the small group session?
Due to our maximum capacity of 5 students per small group, anyone who wants to attend the small group tutoring session will need to sign up for the session through the Microsoft Bookings page. Friends and classmates are more than welcome to sign up together, but each person who attends must have registered for the session.
