University College

Greetings from Texas State's University College.

University College, formerly known as The College of General Studies, was established in 1983. The College was created to provide an academic home for the advisement of undecided majors and to provide an administrative structure for coordination and oversight of the University's General Education curriculum. In the fall of 2012 the focus of University College will become the Personalized and Career Exploration (PACE) Center.  In addition to the PACE Center, which will provide academic advising, career exploration, and mentoring programs for freshmen students, the College will include the University Seminar program, the Texas Success Initiative Program (TSIP), and the Bachelor of General Studies degree.
