Research Compliance

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Research, the Office of Research Compliance is responsible for overseeing compliance activity in support of scholarly and research activities involving human participants, animal subjects, rDNA and biosafety, export controls, and investigator conflict of interest. These responsibilities include administrative support of the Institutional Review Board, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, and the Institutional Biosafety Committee.  

 
ORC provides resources and training to research faculty and students, develops and maintains research compliance policies and procedures, and prepares and submits required compliance reports to federal agencies. In addition, ORC maintains official institutional and committee records and written procedures in accordance with federal regulations.
