Program Announcement for the FY17 Research Enhancement Program
In fulfillment of its mission to contribute to the greater body of knowledge through research, scholarship, and creative expression, Texas State University has instituted the Research Enhancement Program (REP). Through a peer review process, the REP provides funding for research and creative activities by faculty within all disciplines.
The revised program guidelines, on-line application, and the scoring rubrics for each college are posted on the REP website for applicants to review prior to submission, http://www.txstate.edu/research/oera/rep.html. REP applications must be submitted through the online portal by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
This year the total available funding for the REP is anticipated to be $630,000. Those funds will be allocated to the academic colleges via a proportional model based on the colleges’ percentage of the total requested amount of funding across the entire university. One of the programmatic goals is to increase the number of submissions, so applications from all eligible departments/disciplines are strongly encouraged.
There will be a workshop covering the REP application process on September 8, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Alkek Library 105/106 for anyone interested in the program.
