Mr. Stephen Frayser
After a national search that identified several outstanding candidates, Mr. Stephen Frayser has accepted the position of Executive Director of Texas State’s Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) Park.
Mr. Frayser has a MBA from University of Nebraska-Omaha and Bachelors in Political Science-Public Administration from Colorado State University. From 2003 to 2012, Mr. Frayser served as the President of the Nebraska Technology Park. In that position, he was responsible for the development of a 155 acre research park and a 22,000 square foot technology business incubator. During his tenure 2,400 jobs were created or retained, over 300,000 square feet of new facilities were constructed, and over $68 million in new capital investments were made. From 1997 to 2003, he served as the Interim Director of Technology Transfer for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In this position, he was responsible for commercialization, technology transfer, and associated economic development for the University of Nebraska.
STAR One officially opens on November 9, 2012. Mr. Frayser assumes his duties on November 5, 2012
