Two Honors Students Are Fulbright ScholarsElliott Brandsma was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study Icelandic literature at the University of Iceland in Revkjavik, Iceland. An Honors student and double major in Art and English, Brandsma began his research on Iceland with independent study work and after receiving a SURF Grant, traveled there last summer to work on his thesis, Sheep, Volcanoes, and International Conflict: Mapping the Twentieth-Century Icelandic Consciousness through Art and Fiction. In addition, Emily Rothbauer was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach and conduct research in Germany.
