Continuing Education Provides support services to Texas State faclty / staff / departments to conduct non-credit courses or host conferences, workshops or seminars to meet the continuing education, or professional development needs of their students or alumni.  We also work with faculty and staff to host conferences for professional associations to which they belong.  Our experienced staff can help you conduct a well-coordinated, successful evenet.

When it comes to offering a course or hosting an event, your biggest concern ought to be the subject at hand – not how to reserve off-campus facilities, how you’re going to get collect payments and everyone registered, or how to seek approval for continuing education units. 

Doing The Work for You

• Provide a web page to post event information, with online registration and payment options, downloads
      and links to other sites as needed
• Provide a participant database to capture registration information, generate confirmation notices, track
      payments and provide updates and statistics as needed
• Receive incoming organization funds and transfer remaining funds to the next host university after the event
• Secure provider, instructor and event approval for continuing education units; provide CEU certificates and
      sign-in/out sheets
• Provide assistance with marketing efforts, catering and excursion arrangements
• Attend planning meetings for large events
• Collect fees and disburse funds for payment of expenses
• Reserve off-campus facilities and generate deposits
• Block hotel rooms, rent equipment, receive deliveries and store event materials
• Prepare check-in packets, nametags and rosters
• Provide staff for check-in
• Provide forms, tally and summarize participant evaluations
