The Hopwell Culture Iconographic Workshop is an annual workshop devoted to the study and interpretation of Native American art of the Hopewell Cultural period. In the first year of organization, a multi-disciplinary approach will be used.
Hosted by Dr. F. Kent Reilly III, the conference will begin its roots at Texas State University in March 2006.
To facilitate this multi-disciplinary approach, participants to the conference will include Anthropologists, Archaeologists, Native Americans, Art Historians and Folklorists.
In the future, results of the conference will be made available to the public through publications.
