The seminar is designed to increase students’ persistence and success in college by providing them with the academic, personal, and life management tools needed to function effectively within an academic setting. Course content includes class discussion, student participation, and guest speakers.
Student Learning Assistance Center - Study Skills
The Student Learning Assistance Center can help you learn to SLAC in collegiate style through a variety of academic support programs including a walk-in tutoring lab, Supplemental Instruction, Veteran Academic Success Center, and excellent online resources.
Since 1967, Honors has provided a community for students from all majors who are looking for a challenge. Students who join the Honors College take small seminar-style classes where they discuss ideas and raise questions stimulated by readings, field trips, and presentations. Faculty members, regardless of their department, view their honors courses as laboratories to experiment with research and teaching.
