Submit to TXSTUR

Submission Requirements

  • Title page with the full names of the authors and their affiliations.
    • Author(s) must be an undergraduate.
  • Abstract of no more than 250 words.
    • Three to five key words at bottom of abstract page.
  • Works cited.
    • TXSTUR encourages using a reference format that is associated with your specific academic field.
  • Between 5 and 30 pages (not included title page/abstract/works cited).
    • Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
    • Double-spaced with 1" margins, paragraph indentations, and 12pt font.
  • A faculty reviewer is strongly suggested.
  • All articles must be original. 
    • Any articles with instances of plagiarism will not be considered for publication.
  • Articles cannot be a thesis or capstone.
    • They may be a portion of a thesis that has been written into a stand-alone article, but they must be significantly different from the original thesis.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

1. You (the author or copyright owner) grant to Texas State University the non-exclusive right to reproduce and/or distribute your submission worldwide in electronic or any medium for non-commercial, academic purposes.

2. Texas State University may, without changing the content, add metadata for indexing purposes and convert the submission to any medium or format for the purpose of preservation.

3. Alkek Library may keep more than one copy of this submission for purposes of security, backup, and preservation.

4. The submission is your original work and that you have the right to grant the rights contained in this license. You also represent that your submission does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe upon the copyright, patent or trade secret of any third party.

10. Texas State University will clearly identify your name(s) as the author(s) or owner(s) of the submission, and will not make any alteration, other than as allowed by this license, to your submission.

11. You will retain your existing rights to your work, and may submit the work to publishers or other repositories without permission from Texas State University.
