Texas Success Initiative Program (TSIP)
Texas Success Initiative Program
The Texas Success Initiative Program (TSIP) is a state-legislated program to improve student success in college. The components of the program include:
» a test that must be taken prior to the student's first semester: test scores should be sent by February to ensure accurate course registration
» developmental programs designed to prepare students for college courses
» academic advising for all students
At Texas State, the TSIP office is responsible for ensuring that students satisfy the state's success-initiative standards.
