Apotheosis thesis exhibit features array of artworks in diverse media

The Department of Fine Arts and Communication at Texas State University will present Apotheosis, an exhibition of thesis work by senior fine arts students, in galleries 1 and 2 of the Joanne Cole Mitte Building April 21-25.
An opening reception will be held 5-7 p.m. April 21 in the galleries. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
Apotheosis: Senior Thesis Art Exhibition features painting, photography, mixed media and ceramics by Texas State seniors. The artworks explore and critique various topics including gender identity, mental illness, meditation and subcultures. Artists included in the exhibition include Amanda Lukacs, Ashley French Kontnier, Chloe Dehmer, Estefania Marquez, K. Botter-El Lababedi, Mackenzie Vaclav Petter, Mary Katherine Riley, Nathaniel Record, Brenda Trevizo, Alexandra Galley, Taylor Waldt and Whitley Stratton.
