Officials at Texas State University-San Marcos will host a second public meeting to discuss possible changes in  tailgating at Bobcat football games next fall
The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, in the Sac-N-Pac Room at Bobcat Stadium. The purpose of the gathering is to review input received from a previous public meeting held Jan. 26. Organizers will review suggestions received at the first meeting and discuss future tailgating site options, rules, management issues and best practices.

The meeting is open to the public. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, members of the local community and Bobcat fans in general are encouraged to attend.

Texas State recently announced plans to elevate its football program from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS – formerly Division IAA) to the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS – formerly Division IA, and the highest level of collegiate football competition). The university has dubbed this initiative β€œThe Drive to FBS.”

University officials are examining tailgating at Texas State and are seeking to enhance the game-day experience at Bobcat Stadium and within the local community.
