The LBJ Distinguished Lecture Series honors the legacy of Texas State University's most distinguished alumnus and the 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson, by fulfilling his promise to bring important leaders to the university to share their philosophies and experiences.

Since 1982, speakers in the LBJ Distinguished Lecture Series have addressed Texas State students, faculty, staff and community members on a wide array of topics — ranging from politics and civil rights to poetry and space travel.
