Monarch Summit: A Higher Education Coalition on Supporting Immigrant Students

Monarch Summit

The Monarch Summit & Naturalization Ceremony scheduled for March 27, 2020 are cancelled.

Texas State University recently announced plans and operational guidelines in response to COVID-19 that include extending the university’s Spring Break for one week (dates will run from March 16 to March 30), hosting online classes until April 12th and practicing social distancing.

While we understand the value of our inaugural gathering, we recognize the importance of supporting a collective effort to reduce the pandemic. The Monarch Summit Planning Committee has decided to reschedule the Monarch Summit and will follow up with the future date, time and location.

We are humbled by your commitment, dedication and support of this important and necessary opportunity. We look forward to seeing you then.

What is the Monarch Summit?

Texas State University will host the inaugural Monarch Summit, a Higher Education Coalition on Supporting Immigrant Students. This is a gathering and exchange between students, faculty, staff and community members representing various colleges and universities across the state of Texas discussing and developing promising practices in support of immigrant students. The Monarch Summit is a traveling summit and will be hosted annually within the network of partnering institutions.
