Day 1

Monday, June 1, 10am

Maximizing Your Honors Education. Great classes. The best faculty. Independent research and creative projects. This 50-minute Zoom session will explore what makes the Honors experience at TXST so great—and how you can get the most from it. Q&A will follow a 20-minute presentation. Bring questions, and be prepared to engage with faculty and staff from the Honors College!

Day 2

Tuesday, June 2, 2pm

Current Honors Student Panel. In this interactive Zoom session, you'll have the opportunity to interact from current students in the Honors College and learn more about the experience of being in honors. A student panel will be moderated by staff and faculty from the Honors College. Bring questions, and be prepared to meet other incoming and returning students!

Day 3

Wednesday, June 3, 10am

Ask the Dean (Almost) Anything! This is your chance to "go to the top" of the Honors College. Dean Heather Galloway will make herself available to answer (almost) any question you have about life, the universe, the Honors College, and everything. The answer might be 42...

Day 4

Thursday, June 4, 10am

Panel for Family Members. Honors College parents and family members often have concerns that differ from their student's. Take this time to listen and engage with a panel of current students, faculty, and staff. We'll open the floor to your most pressing questions.

NOTE: Because many parents, friends, and family don't have NetIDs or email accounts with TXST, the reservation for this event is separate. Please click below if you'd like to attend this panel. Make sure to have the NetID of your student on hand!

Thursday, June 4, 2pm

Ask the Advisors. It can be complicated to navigate degree requirements, programs requirements, and Honors College requirements. So, our advisors will be available to answer your questions, settle your concerns, and suggest resources and strategies that can help you navigate Honors College life. Start planning now, and graduate in Honors!

Day 5

Friday, June 5, 4pm

Boost your energy! A (virtual) Honors College mixer! This is your chance to interact in an unstructured way with current Honors College students. Meet people, learn about campus life, and get familiar with the people and places you'll encounter in the fall.

During these difficult times, it's important to stay healthy and get nutritious food. Prior to the event, the Honors College will post videos and recipes for some amazing, refreshing, and healthy summertime beverages. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to learn more.

Note: You must be logged-in to your Bobcat email or NetID in order to submit a response. We will confirm your spot in each event in a separate email, which will include a link to the Zoom meeting.
