The Honors College recognizes the necessity for anti-racist initiatives, programming, and discussions. We invite all Honors students to join us for our Black Lives Matter Book Club, led by Dr. Dwonna Goldstone (Director, African American Studies Program) and Tafia Bulgin (Honors College Student Coordinator).
In July 2021, the club will dive into Native Son by Richard Wright, and we hope to provide a space that fosters safety, rich discussion, curiosity, honesty, and vulnerability.
Virtual Book Club Schedule:
10:00a - 11:00a each day
July 6
July 13
July 20
July 27
A digital copy of the book is on file with the TXST Alkek Library for those participants who do not wish to purchase their own copy.
The Honors College is able to provide up to 30 students with physical copies of Native Son.
