Clinical Sequence Planning Form

Student Information

In order to estimate the number of clinical course sections we will need to offer in the coming year, we are asking all students to complete this course planning form. Please answer to the best of your ability. Each option has 'NA or too early to determine' option if you are too early in the program. We appreciate your assistance. 

 

Degree Track/Emphasis *

Clinical Sequence

The clinical sequence within the program is to be taken in the following order, with each class representing a separate semester.

► COUN 5354 Basic Techniques

►COUN 5360/5366/5370 or 5373 IM specialty course (depending on emphasis - see degree plan)

  • Keep in mind 5369 Child & Adolescent Counseling is a prerequisite for COUN 5360, 5370, and 5373

►COUN 5689 Clinical Practicum

►COUN 5389 Site-based Internship I <br> (CMHC, MCFC, and School)

►COUN 5389 Site-based Internship II <br> (required for CMHC and MCFC)

Complete the following course options with an estimate of the semester you plan to take the specific course. We realize many of you who are early in the program may not yet have specific semesters in mind, so please choose your answers accordingly.

 

COUN 5354 Basic Techniques *
COUN 5360 Intermediate Methods Marital Couple Families *
COUN 5366 Intermediate Methods Individuals/Adults *
COUN 5370 Intermediate Methods Counseling Adolescents *
COUN 5373 Intermediate Methods in Play Therapy *
Not all IM classes are currently offered in the summer, so if one of these IM classes was offered in the Summer, which one would you take? *
On which campus would you prefer to take (or already took) COUN 5689 Clinical Practicum? *
COUN 5689 Clinical Practicum *
If Fall 2019 or 2020 was selected above, would you register for a split section for Clinical Practicum? For example, the class meets both Monday and Tuesday 4-8pm
COUN 5389 Internship I (CMHC, MCFC, School) *
COUN 5389 Internship II (required for CMHC and MCFC) *
