Biography

Jin Lee is an Assistant Professor of Adult Education in the Adult, Professional, and Community Education program in Texas State University. He holds a BA degree in Education from Inha University, and MA degree in Educational Technology from Seoul National University, South Korea. He earned a doctorate in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University. He has worked as a military trainer for Korean Army, management consultant and HR analyst for a multinational IT corporation. During his professional career, he engaged in many projects including designing training programs for employees’ and organizational performance improvement, strategic HR planning, and instructional quality management for a national level ICT capability building project with the Colombian Ministry of Education.

Dr. Lee’s current research and scholarship focus on entrepreneurship, leadership and organizational change and innovation, and professional career development with emphases on identity development and learning processes. He has also developed a line of inquiry in a couple of complimentary areas such as cultivating a more inclusive workplace and unraveling the power and politics in organizations. His research success includes six published peer-reviewed articles in SSCI and Scopus indexed journals including Human Resource Development Review, and Gender, Work, and Organization.

In terms of methodological repertoire, Dr. Lee is ambidextrous. He has conducted qualitative studies using Grounded Theory or Narrative Inquiry. He also has a solid background in quantitative methods such as Factorial ANOVA, Regression Analyses and Structural Equation Modeling. In addition to the empirical endeavors, he has produced an array of conceptual and review papers with Systematic Literature Review, Meta-Analyses and Meta-Ethnography.
