Chemistry & Biochemistry Research Colloquium

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Research Colloquium is a day-long event featuring the various research interests of our graduate and undergraduate students.

Sponsored by the Chemistry and Biochemistry Student Advisory Board and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the Colloquium is held annually, on the first Friday of April.

Contributors present posters or give talks. The oral sessions run from 10:00am to 1:00pm in Flowers Hall 113, and are organized in the format of a professional scientific meeting, with strict time limitations. Posters are shown from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm in the same room, Flowers Hall 113. Student contributions are judged by attending faculty and prizes will be awarded in several categories.

Who can present?

Graduate or undergraduate students conducting research in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department or with the collaboration of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department are encouraged to submit abstracts of their research. We will try to accommodate everyone with their first choice between oral or poster presentation. However, if we are running out time in the oral sessions, we will ask students that registered the latest to give poster presentations instead of talks.
