Dr. Pierce Gordon
Pierce Gordon is an innovation catalyst, researcher, facilitator, and evaluator, impassioned by the space between transformation and liberation.
As a researcher, he’s published research in peer-reviewed publications, nationally recognized newspapers, and online blogs on making research, equity, and design more accessible to all. He’s built partnerships with international organizations, local community changemakers, and entrepreneurs in every city he lived in to support how research shifts social systems: from makerspaces in multiple cities in Arkansas, from design facilitation and activism in Oakland to entrepreneurship and indigenous knowledge development and advocacy in Botswana. He's facilitated community-built workshops for activists and community advocates, and developing scholarly resources and relationships that support intra-university equity research through change and development - including community asset models and entrepreneurial classes inside and for local makerspaces, to co-facilitating and evaluating Botswana's first Policy Hackathon, with 100+ international country experts and colleagues.
