Dr. Perry Sweeper

Dr. Perry Sweeper is a Professor of Practice in the Division of Experiential Learning and Interdisciplinary Studies at Morehouse College. He is currently pursuing research with the Culturally Relevant Computing Lab and recently served as principal investigator to develop a new data visualization course supported by a grant from The Atlanta University Center’s (AUC) Data Science Initiative.

He has worked as a design practitioner across industries ranging from higher education, government, media, and non-profit organizations. His experience includes work on design, branding, and art-based marketing projects for The Washington Post, Vitamin Water, Heineken, and Nike.

Dr. Sweeper received a Doctor of Science in Information and Interaction Design (D.S) from the University of Baltimore. Dr. Sweeper's dissertation research explored utilizing human-centered principles and methods to design data visualization dashboards for techno-spiritual information.
