Cat Camp

In the summer of 2009, the Texas State Pride & Traditions Committee hosted the inaugural Cat Camp for new Bobcats. It was a huge success and has remained an optional experience for incoming students ever since.

Cat Camp is an extended orientation program designed to assist students with their transition into Texas State University community. Students are encouraged to bond with other incoming students, learn Texas State's history and traditions, and create lifelong memories. Cat Camp provides a foundation for a successful college experience by discussing common transition topics and highlighting campus involvement and opportunities.
