Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC)

The Student Learning and Assistance Center (SLAC) provides academic support to all Texas State students. SLAC offers individual, group and online tutoring services and also holds group study sessions for specified courses. All of SLAC’s services are free of charge including consultations with learning specialists and the learning and study skills workshops.

University Honors Program

The University Honors Program is home to the University Honors Student Association (UHSA) and the Honors Coffee Forum and the Gallery of the Common Experience. All students with a GPA of 3.25 or above are welcome to apply to the University Honors Program and for admission into the UHSA. The University Honors Program features small, thought-provoking classes taught by top Texas State faculty. What makes this program unique is the continuous dialogue and interaction among University Honors students and faculty.
