Texas Success
Initiative Program
TSIP stands for Texas Success Initiative Program. It is a legislatively mandated program to deal with the problem of under-prepared students going to Texas public colleges or universities. The components of this program are:
- a test that must be taken prior to the student's first semester
- remedial programs designed to prepare students for college courses
- academic advising for all students
On the Texas State campus the Success Initiative Program has the responsibility for enforcing the TSI regulations. The links below provide additional information on TSIP.
