Possible fall and spring agenda items:
-General Education learning outcomes and results
-Geography course proposal for natural science
-Science labs full to overflowing
-CLA (Collegiate Learning Assessment) tool given through the Testing Center ($50 for Freshman-Bobcat Bucks and probably $100 for Seniors in spring)
-Review October learning outcomes (2 learning outcomes and 2 methods)
-Course syllabi review
Thank you to G. Passty and K. Peirce who helped R. Brown go around to the different departments during the summer to discuss suggestions for improving the learning outcomes/methods.
Motion:
R. Brown asked for a motion that the GEC continue to meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. C. McCall so moved and S. Beebe seconds the motion.
Motion passed unanimously.
September 29 and 30—SACS Consultants will visit campus—we will send out the schedule and the open forum time as soon as we have it
Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) will focus on advising and mentoring (contacts Beth Wuest and Nico Schuler
