TREC currently offers three tests to meet both math placement needs and the Texas Success Initiative (TSI): Accuplacer, Compass, and QuickTHEA. Click on the appropriate link below for more information.
AccuPlacer and Compass are combination tests that have multiple sections. Each institution that uses one of these tests may require different combinations of sections to satisfy their placement and/or readiness standards. Our testing lab has test packages set up to meet the placement and readiness standards of Texas State. If an examinee is testing in our lab for another institution, we recommend contacting the other institution to set up a remote exam, if possible. Alternatively, the examinee can find out the exact names of the test sections needed by that institution to ensure that we provide all those sections during the exam.
