MATH DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM

ACT High Math 15 to 20 21 or higher
SAT High Math 400 to 470 480 or higher
Math Placement 14 to 25 26 or higher
Credit For Math 1300 Math 1311w/ A, B, C, or CR
THEA Math* 210 to 229 270 or higher if test date is
after 9/1/1993

*IF A STUDENT FAILED THE MATH PORTION OF THE THEA TEST (SCORE BELOW 230), THAT STUDENT IS REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE ENROLLED IN A DEVELOPMENTAL MATH PROGRAM. IF A STUDENT SCORES BETWEEN 230 AND 269 ON THE MATH PORTION OF THE THEA, ELIGIBILITY FOR MATH 1315, 1316 OR 1319 IS DETERMINED BY EITHER THE ACT, SAT OR MATH PLACEMENT TEST SCORE. IF NONE OF THOSE SCORES ARE HIGH ENOUGH, THAN THAT STUDENT SHOULD ENROLL IN MATH 1311.

These times are subject to change. Call the TREC at 245.2276 to verify test times.

If you have a disability and may require special accommodation in an alternative format, (reader services, extended time testing, etc.), you must contact the Office of Disability Services (245.3452) prior to taking the exam. Verification of disability will be required.

No pre-registration required.

Test Fee: $20.00. Test payment is made on the day of the test. Check or money order for $20.00 must be made payable to Texas State University-San Marcos. Cash payment in exact amount is acceptable (change not always available).

Arrive at the Testing Center at least 15 minutes before scheduled test time.

Bring a photo ID. (Driver's license, student ID, passport)
