We are providing the following information so researchers will know what to expect and what is expected of them when using our individual consultation services.
Assistance we can provide
Our role is to assist and teach you so that you will be able to complete your research on your own. We would like to meet with faculty at the beginning of their projects if at all possible. Faculty who are meeting with us for assistance in data analysis should bring their data with them on a CD or flash drive. Below is a list of the kinds of assistance we can provide:
Assistance we cannot provide
We cannot provide individual consultation to students or non Texas State University faculty. Graduate students working with a faculty member on a research project that is not a student research project (e.g., dissertation, thesis) may attend the session with the faculty member. We do not meet with graduate students without faculty.
How to schedule an appointment
Individual consultation is by appointment only. Each session is scheduled for one hour. We strongly suggest that you attend one or more of our training seminars if you do not have data analysis experience before scheduling individual consultation. You may schedule an appointment by emailing Kelly Eureste. Please provide the following information: availability, department, rank, and email address. All appointments are held in Lower Commons 100. Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel an appointment so someone can take advantage of that time period.
