RDAG

Currently, one of the top five strategic initiatives for Texas State is moving the university to a research intensive status. In conjunction with this goal it is important to enhance the quality as well as the quantity of the research productivity of our faculty. To this end, we have formed a new group at Texas State University called the Research Design and Analysis (RDA) Group. Members of this group have expertise in theoretical and/or applied aspects of quantitative methods, research design, or statistical software.

The overarching goal for the group is to improve the research infrastructure at Texas State University. We hope that this results in the following two actions:

  1. More interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty.
  2. An increase in the number and quality of statistics, measurement, and research design course offerings.

We have developed this website so that interested individuals can use it as a resource for finding information or connecting with others who have similar research interests. The Associated Faculty page provides information about the members of the group. The List of Courses page contains a list of Quantitative Methods courses taught on a regular basis. If the course can be taken by students from other departments, it is noted. The Resources page contains readings, quantitative methods websites, various calculators (e.g., effect size, power), and annotated references. We hope that this will be a good resource for the Texas Sate community of researchers. We also have a TRACS site for our members. If you would like to be added to the RDAG TRACS site, please contact Gail Ryser.
