Math Placement and TSI Testing

TREC currently offers two tests to meet both math placement needs and the Texas Success Initiative (TSI): Accuplacer or QuickTHEA.

The Accuplacer is a computer-administered test.  The fee to take the Accuplacer is $30 (paid via check or money order made payable to Texas State University, or by exact cash), and will produce immediate scores (although in very rare instances, an immediate score will not be available for the essay).

The QuickTHEA is a paper-and-pencil test.  There are two payments needed to take the QuickTHEA: $30 paid to Texas State University by check, money order or exact cash; and then $29 paid to Evaluation Systems by check, money order, MasterCard, or Visa.  Scores for the QuickTHEA will usually be received within 7-10 business days.
