Departmental
Departmental Exams
If you are considering taking a CLEP or Departmental examination-for-credit, please read our Policies page also. The Testing, Research-Support, and Evaluation Center (TREC) administers departmental exams on an institutional basis only to currently enrolled students, former students, or students who have been accepted for admission to Texas State for the following semester.
The following is a listing of departmental exams that have been approved for course credit at Texas State. The departmental English test-for-credit will no longer be offered effective Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Effective immediately, the English Department at Texas State will accept the CLEP College Composition exam. Please see our CLEP page for more information.
