The
Lone Star Conference’s “Quarterback of the Decade”
in the 1970’s, James Duncan is a member of the “T”
Association Hall of Honor Class of ’89.
Duncan,
who was a three-year letter winner in football, has been a major contributor
to SWT athletics. On the playing field, Duncan was a huge asset to his
team. He was senior co-captain on the team that finished third in the
nation, set 13 conference records, an NAIA All-American, little all-american,
all-conference first team and a unanimous member of the all-Texas team.
Duncan also led the conference in passing for two years.
Away from
athletics, Duncan is an initiate of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, a
member of the Lake Travis Jaycees and was the past club president of
the Bobcat Club (now Bobcat Athletic Foundation) for two years.
He presently
owns five furniture stores and a carpet store. Duncan is also a real
estate investor and a stockholder in several other companies.
