Gary “Pete” Fredenburg. Pete was a three-year letter winner in football for SWT from 1967-1970. After graduation, Fredenburg coached football at Baylor University and was once named Southwest Conference Defensive Coach of the Year. During his stint at Baylor, Fredenburg coached in several bowl games including the Cotton Bowl, the John Hancock Bowl, and two Bluebonnet Bowls. After his stint at Baylor University, Fredenburg then coached at Louisiana State University, Louisiana Tech University and University of Mary-Hardin Baylor where he was the Division III, Region III Coach of the Year in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
