Texas State Athletics will host a reunion for the undefeted 1963 football team. This will be a chance to reunite old teammates and recognize their amazing legacy at the Texas State Football Game versus McNeese State. Fall T-Association Weekend is here!
Our 2009 Texas State
Hall of Honor Dinner and T-Association weekend is fast approaching and
I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you and your family back to
campus for a great weekend with your alma mater.
The weekend will begin on Friday, November 20th with our annual
Hall of Honor banquet in the Sac N Pac Room at Bobcat Stadium at 6 p.m.
Join us as we induct this year’s class consisting of former standout men’s
basketball player Paul Borreson, track and field star Robert Hackney and
football standout Tim Staskus. All letter winner tickets are $20 for the
banquet, all past Hall of Honor inductees will receive two (2) complimentary
banquet tickets upon request.
On Saturday the 21st, get ready for an exciting day of “T” Association tailgating and Bobcat athletic events. Join us at 11 a.m. as we recognize our current student athletes as “T” members at our “T” Association tailgate party in the east side (GA) parking lot. BBQ and drinks will be provided complimentary to all “T” Association members who RSVP by November 16th. Additional tickets for family and friends will be $10. Look for the big white “T” tent along Aquarena Springs drive with our “T” Association banners. The lunch is complimentary for all coaches. Additional tickets will be $10 per person. During the lunch we will recognize all of our former athletes and award our current student-athletes their "T" letter. This includes men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball, cross country, indoor and outdoor track, golf, tennis, and our athletic trainers. Please make sure you inform your athletes about the lunch.
At 2 p.m. the Bobcat Football team takes the field against Sam Houston State. All athletic alumni are invited to attend the game and upon request will receive one free ticket to the game. At halftime, we will recognize our 2009 “T” Association Hall of Honor Class. All former letter winners are invited to join us on the field for the presentation. After halftime all letter winners are invited to the Bill Miller room to watch the remainder of the game and enjoy complimentary food and drinks.
