Mike Wynn earned four letters as a member of the Bobcat football team from 1979-1982. Wynn played an integral part in the Bobcats’ Division II National Championship teams in 1981 and 1982. Wynn played in 50 straight games, setting in NCAA record, while starting in 44 of those contests. He served as Team Captain for the 1982 team that went a perfect 14-0. He was twice named Lone Star All-Conference Second Team, both in 1981 and 1982, and was also named Honorable Mention All-Conference in 1980. Wynn was a Second Team Academic All-American in 1981 and 1982, as well as being named First Team Academic All LSC in 1981 and 1982. His senior year Wynn received the J.C. Kellum outstanding senior football player award. While at SWT, he was a member of the National Honor Society and was named Who’s Who Among College Students.

Wynn graduated with honors from SWT with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and a minor in biology. After graduation Wynn completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, completing his residency in Anesthesiology. He is currently the President of Northwest Anesthesiology P.A. in San Antonio.

Wynn and his with Karin have been married for 17 years, and have two sons, Stern and Steve. Ladies and Gentleman, Mike Wynn.
