A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT What an honor it is to serve as your president! I want to express my appreciation to the executive board for their confidence and support. Let me say that your board members are committed to promoting the SWT (oops) Texas State "T" Association. We need the support of all "T" Association members. I hope you agree that it is an honor to be a "T" Association member, not only as an individual, but as an active contributing "T" member. The "T" Association has two major sources of revenue: interest earnings realized on the funds in the “T” Association Endowment and donations from "T" Association members. All "T" members will be mailed information on an annual basis whereby you will have an opportunity to donate funds to the "T" Association. Members can also donate by visiting the donations page on this site. The board encourages you to become an active member by providing a donation on an annual basis. The annual budget for the "T" Association includes: communication with "T" members, meal for Hall of Honor at fall meeting, letter awards for student athletes in all men and women sports, scholarships based on available funds, plaques for Hall of Honor recipients, etc. Again,
thank you for your continued support. One of our goals will be to provide
communication updates concerning "T" Association news to all
"T" members on a regular basis (three to four times per year).

Bobcats! "T"-ASSOCIATION INFORMATION The Texas State University “T” Association is an organization committed to promoting and maintaining the communication and active involvement of both current and former letters winners at Texas State. Through the association former students who won Varsity Letters gather from time to time and support the University’s athletic programs. The “T” Association encompasses both male and female letter winners in 16 varsity sports as well as athletic training. This well-respected organization has over 2,500 members spanning nearly 100 years of athletic excellence. Under the direction of Don Coryell and a board of directors comprised of former athletes from various sports and eras, the “T” Association assumes ever increasing responsibilities throughout the course of the year to achieve the goal of keeping student-athletes connected to their university. The Association founded and presents the Texas State Athletic Hall of Honor at semi-annual Letterwinner Awards Banquets. It also maintains the archives of Bobcat Athletic History with team photos and plaques commemorating significant achievements in the university’s history. Housed in the Athletic Administration Building of Strahan Coliseum the “T” Association is committed to recognizing the men and women who have made this athletic program what it is today. Recent projects include the new Bill Miller “T” Association room located at Bobcat Stadium, the restoration of over 150 plaques honoring the most successful athletes in Bobcat history and the design of the 1960 NAIA National Champion men’s basketball team trophy case highlighting the team’s incredible season. With the continued support of a strong and growing membership, and the vision of dedicated officers, the Texas State “T” Association will become an even greater contributor to the foundation and future of Texas State University. |
