The Grammar, Spelling, and Punctuation (GSP) test is required for Mass Communications (MC) majors. Until they have passed the GSP, MC students are considered pre-majors and may register for no more than 15 hours of MC courses; transfer students may register for no more than 6 hours of MC courses. The GSP test is offered at the Texas State Testing, Research-Support and Evaluation Center (TREC) (512) 245-2276.
