When end-users have questions and need assistance, use the steps below in the following order:
Step 1. FAS Website – Help Page - www.fas.txstate.edu Visit the Help page on the FAS website to obtain information on help topics.
- Project and SAP system notifications and updates SAP Lab Schedule
- Step-by-step Work Instructions
- On-line self-help and answers to Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQs will continue to be updated to assist staff in resolving future issues more quickly.)
Step 2. Time Administrators For time entry questions, contact your College/Department Time Administrator.
- Time Administrators will assist end-users in the system and/or obtaining support from other sources.
- If Time Administrators are unable to answer the question, they can either call or direct the end-user to the SAP Help Line.
- SAP Labs are available for the Time Administrators needing assistance with Time Entry/Approval, and Department Heads needing help with PCRs. The Lab schedule is available on the FAS website.
Step 3. SAP Help Line, 245-4SAP (245-4727) The pre-recorded message directs your call to the appropriate person to help you with your question. If further assistance is needed, the issue is logged and the call is forwarded to the appropriate “Back Office” staff member.
Step 4. Human Resources Back Office Staff HR Staff will provide assistance to the Time Administrators and end-users to determine the extent of the issue needing resolved, assisted by FAS team members. Every attempt will be made to answer the question.
Step 5. HR Project Team Members from the HR Project Team are available to assist the HR Back Office and the SAP Help Line in resolving problems/issues.
