Function:
Notifies and collaborates with the Ranch Manager of long and short-term instructional needs for their respective departments. The committee reviews research proposals that plan to use Freeman Ranch facilities, livestock or wildlife for instructional and research purposes and provides the Associate Vice President for Research and Director of Federal Relations (AVPR) with a written annual evaluation of the Ranch Managers performance on facilitating departmental instructional and research

The Departmental Use Committee for the Freeman Ranch will be composed of the three chairs of the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Biology, and the Department of Georgraphy. The Chair of the Department of Agriculture will serve as Chair of the Committee. The Departmental Use Committee will report to the Associate Vice President for Research and Director of Federal Relations (AVPR).
