Reports and recommendations of all university committees will be routed through the Faculty Senate for consideration, and then forwarded to the appropriate administrative officer. Administrative response will be conveyed through the Senate to the committee.
In order to facilitate the work of the university committees, the vice presidents will be responsible for the coordination of committee efforts. The president, and appropriate vice president, will be Ex Officio, non-voting members of all committees. It is the responsibility of each committee chair to make a yearly report to the Committee on Committees. This report is to come to the Committee on Committees at the end of the academic year, and is to be presented to the faculty in the fall term.
"Any committee member of a Faculty Senate appointed or approved committee who misses three consecutive meetings and/or who misses half of the meetings during the year, will be removed from that committee and will be replaced by a new member appointed by the Faculty Senate or the Committee on Committees, whichever group normally appoints those members. It is the responsibility of the chair of each committee to report such absences to the Faculty Senate. This action of removal can only be lifted by the request of the committee chair who will present to the Faculty Senate his reasons for special consideration of any member whose absences exceed the accepted as stated above. The Faculty Senate will be the deciding body in making the final decision."
