Office of Proposal Development (OPD)

Services

Services available at the Office of Proposal Development include the following:

  • identifying groups of faculty, administrators and staff who might prepare multi-disciplinary/multi-institutional proposals;
  • facilitating collaboration among those entities to form proposal teams/research partnerships for multi-disciplinary projects;
  • identifying individual faculty members to facilitate their preparation of grant proposals;
  • identifying new faculty and facilitating their efforts to develop grant proposals;
  • arranging and conducting meetings/brainstorming sessions for the above entities;
  • helping to develop proposals (including developing timelines for accomplishing the tasks, identifying key activities, collecting and evaluating data);
  • reviewing drafts to assure that grant criteria are met and that organization is correct;
  • editing and proofreading drafts;
  • helping the above entities to learn how to find sources of funding; and
  • developing, organizing, and presenting workshops.
