What is New Student Orientation (NSO)?Each step toward beginning college can be both stressful and exciting, ranging from the research and application process, to registration and starting classes. Your Texas State experience begins with New Student Orientation (NSO), all newly admitted freshman and transfer students are required to attend. During NSO you will learn more about the resources and opportunities Texas State has to offer. You will also be introduced to Texas State's history and traditions. At the end of the program you leave will leave NSO as a real Bobcat after you have met with an Academic Advisor and registered for your classes.
