Comsol multiphysics is a Finite Element Method software package that can be used to solve differential equations, including Poisson's equation. In the Summer of 2013 five EMT simulation assignments were developed for our PHYS 4310 course. The assignments will be tested in the senior Electromagnetic Field Theory course in the Fall of 2013:

1. Electric field distribution around a charged sphere

2. Eelectric field distribution around a charged disk

3. Electric field distribution around a Sphere in an applied electric field.

4. Induced charge on a metal plate that is in proximity to a point charge.

5. Induced charge on a metal sphere that is in proximity of a point charge.

Brice graduated from Texas State in August 2013. He is currently working in R&D for Dow Chemical in Houston.
