We now have a currently active Texas State Society of Physics Students Chapter. Contact Dr. Donnelly for more information. (There is also a national Society of Physics Students.) The group holds weekly meetings, participates in local physics conferences, performs demonstrations at local schools and educational events and generally has a geeky good time.

One of our most active student organizations on campus is the Mexican American Engineers and Scientists group also known as MAES. It is open to all students. Among many activities, MAES holds an annual Science Extravaganza for middle school students each year. There is also a local chapter here at Texas State. For more information on activities and how to join, contact Dr. Dana Garcia, the faculty advisor.
