Abstracts to the Texas Section meeting can be submitted in four classifications. All abstracts are submitted through the APS abstract form, but can be specified as APS, AAPT, SPS or submissions to the special poster session on Women in Physics. The classification is determined by the sorting category.
1. APS (American Physical Society) abstracts - Submissions are welcome from any APS member including industrial members, faculty, undergraduate and graduate students. This is the only category for students who want to compete for a student award. Students who are competing for the award should put Undergraduate Competition or Graduate Competition in the special instructions as appropriate.
2. AAPT (American Association of Physics Teachers) - Abstract submissions from AAPT members regarding the teaching of physics.
3. SPS (Society of Physics Students) - Abstract submissions from students including high school members.
4. Special Poster Session: Women in Physics - Submissions by anyone with a subject related to women in physics. All topics are welcome such as profiles of physicists, either historical figures or currently active scientists, or issues relating to the participation of women in physics.
