Marsha Moore

Marsha Mueller Moore is the Director of the Office of Professional Development at Texas State University-San Marcos. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Home Economics Education in 1972 and her Master's of Education degree in Counseling and Guidance in 1974, both degrees from Texas State.

Ms. Moore has been employed at Texas State for over twenty-five years. She has served in various capacities in both academics and staff support. She taught in the Department of Family and Consumer Science from 1986 through 1993 and again during 2000-2001 and taught Freshman Seminar from 1991-1994. She has received two Favorite Professor awards from the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society in 1990 and 1993.

In January 1993, she became the half-time coordinator of the Staff Development program and in the fall of 1994, the half-time coordinator of the Quality Center. She became the Director of the merged operations in 2000, and the name changed to the Office of Professional Development in 2002.

Ms. Moore represented Texas State in its charter membership with the National Consortium for Continuous Improvement (NCCI) and currently serves on the Executive Council as Chair of the Membership and Marketing Committee. She serves on the Presidential Work-Life Advisory Committee and the Professional Development Advisory Council at Texas State. She is president of the Greater San Marcos Area Chapter and on the Board of Directors of the Texas State Alumni Association.
