Financial Education Series: ERS Retiree Insurance Program

This informative overview of the ERS retiree insurance program explains Texas State University retiree insurance benefits for regular retirees and interim retiree insurance for early retirees. Specific benefits discussed include:

 

·        Medical and dental insurance coverage,

·        Retiree prescription drug coverage,

·        Basic, dependent, and optional life insurance,

·        Long-term care, and

·        the Opt Out Credit

 

Coordination of retiree health insurance by ERS with Medicare will be discussed as well.
