NCCI Webinar

Implementing an Institutional Change Initiative.....Fast.....While Doing Our Day Jobs and on a Tight Budget.

Brown Bag Lunch Webinar
Sponsored by the National Consortium for Continuous Improvement

This webinar is designed to help participants learn how to implement an innovative approach to address long-standing cultural and other obstacles to change. Through an examination of best practices regarding successful organizational experiences with large-scale process improvement, this session will introduce participants to a set of tools and techniques to overcome human inertia and resistance to change; build a culture of customer service; enhance partnerships across the institution; and manage and lead an organization through times of rapid change. The focus will be on sharing practical, specific approaches and strategies that can be adapted or adopted by other institutions seeking to make change happen quickly within an environment of restricted financial resources.
You Will Learn how to:

  • Identify techniques and approaches to securing and leveraging executive leadership and commitment in supporting and sustaining change, maintaining a sense of urgency, and overcoming obstacles to change in an environment where status quo is the norm.
  • Describe how to create, harvest and maintain a climate for sustained change through communications and the identification, skill building and involvement of key stakeholders at all levels of an institution.
  • Identify the key elements of a proven approach to institutional process improvement and change, including governance, support, and methodology, and discuss how thiscomprehensive approach can be institutionalized and sustained.

This highly interactive session is intended for academic and administrative leaders within higher education who are grappling with the need to optimize the efficiencies and effectiveness of administrative processes while addressing the demands of day-to-day, semester-to-semester challenges and competing priorities for change across academic, administrative, and
IT functions.
